General Booking Conditions

By registering, the following “General Booking Conditions” of usability.de GmbH & Co. KG (usability.de), represented by Torsten Bartel and Gesine Quint, are accepted. The terms and conditions apply to public trainings of usability.de GmbH & Co. KG.

Scope of services and participation requirements

The scope of services (place, time, duration, course topic, lecturers, educational objective, price, etc.) results from the description of the training, which was published on the Internet at the time of registration.

Unless otherwise stated, the seminar fees indicated in each case include break refreshments, seminar documents and certificates of participation. Travel and accommodation costs are generally not included in the seminar fees.

Examination fees are usually shown and invoiced separately. If an examination is not passed, there is no right to a refund of the examination fees.

usability.de may make participation in an event dependent on personal and/or factual prerequisites. As far as possible, information about the necessary prerequisites will be provided on the Internet.

You will receive a confirmation email upon receipt of your registration. This serves to inform you that we have received your registration. If your booking is successful, we will send you a written confirmation of registration. Without written confirmation of registration, there is no right to participate.

Payment conditions

The invoice amount is due for payment without deduction within 14 days after receipt of the invoice.

Cancellation conditions

Cancellations up to 21 days (3 weeks) before the start of the event are free of charge. In case of later cancellation, the following amounts will be charged or retained:

• 20 – 8 days before the start of the event: 50% of the participation fee
• From 7 days before the start of the event: 100% of the participation fee

The date of receipt of the notice of withdrawal at usability.de is decisive.

It is possible to nominate a substitute participant in compliance with the respective selection criteria. In this case, the cancellation fee will not be charged. The substitute participant must be communicated in writing to usability.de by the original registrant.

Non-use of teaching units / no-show

The non-use of individual teaching units does not entitle the participant to a reduction of the invoice amount.

Non-attendance at the seminar does not release the participant from the obligation to pay the fee.

Cancellation and organizational changes

We reserve the right to cancel seminars due to insufficient number of participants (the minimum number of participants is usually 5) at least 14 days before the scheduled start of the seminar.

We reserve the right to cancel seminars due to important reasons beyond our control (e.g. verifiable illness of the trainer, accident, natural disasters, etc.).

Any participation fees already paid by you will of course be refunded. Further claims do not exist.

usability.de GmbH & Co. KG ist berechtigt, die Firma des Teilnehmers in ihrer Kundenliste aufzuführen.

Copyright

We reserve all rights to the training documents or parts thereof, including translation, reprinting and reproduction. No part of the training documents may be reproduced in any form - not even in part - and in particular may not be processed, duplicated, distributed or used for public reproduction using electronic systems without our written permission - not even for the purpose of teaching.

You therefore do not acquire any right to publish the retrieved content. In particular, you are also not entitled to reproduce, modify, distribute, reprint, permanently store or pass on to third parties the content retrieved by you in whole or in part.

Right of withdrawal

You can revoke your contractual declaration in writing within two weeks without giving reasons. The period begins with receipt of the registration confirmation. The timely dispatch of the revocation is sufficient to meet the revocation deadline. The revocation can be sent by mail or by e-mail to trainings@usability.de. In the event of an effective revocation, the services received by both parties shall be refunded.

Liability and compensation

Liability and damage claims against usability.de are excluded unless they concern damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence.

Jurisdiction and place of performance

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply.

The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contractual relationship is Hanover.
