In remote usability tests, participants are not invited to our lab, but take part in a usability test directly from home with their own end device. Tools for screen sharing such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams are used for this. The advantage is that participants interact more authentically in their natural contexts on their own devices than in an unfamiliar laboratory setting.
