Prototyping refers to the early visualization and iterativeoptimization of a user interface. Prototyping tools can be used tocreate visualizations of varying degrees of detail. This ranges fromthe basic structure of a surface (wireframes) to clickablesimulations of the later application. Thus wireframes offer a goodvisual basis for discussion for the project team. In addition, userfeedback can be obtained early in the development process and on aregular basis. Changes resulting from the feedback can be easilyincluded into the further development of the application.
