The dialogue principles have been revised and renamed interaction principles. They are general rules for the design of user-friendly systems and aim to avoid usability problems. Before the revision, DIN EN ISO 9241-110 defined these seven dialogue principles:

• Error Tolerance
• Self-Descriptiveness
• Suitability for Individualization
• Suitability for Learning
• Suitability for the Task
